Remaining Human

After the sixth book

Then you've come all the way through, and you know the books never closed the question. That was the point. Some questions get smaller the moment they're answered, and the one these books circle is one of them:

What if being human is enough — in a time that keeps insisting it isn't?

So this room doesn't close it either. What it offers is company for it: the fullest of the reflective work, the inquiry the novels came out of, followed further into the open — still as a question, never as a verdict.

And if you find you want to follow it past reflection — into the wider work it all comes from — that door is here too, when you want it. Not before. There's no hurry, and no wrong pace. You can sit with what the six books left you for as long as it stays.

If you want to follow the inquiry beyond these reflections, there is a next door from here. No hurry. Start where you are.
