The question the novels held also exists outside the fiction. It continues as practical work around identity, direction, human relevance, and meaningful income in a technologically converging world.
It's the same question, met on different ground: how a person stays relevant, recognisable, and meaningfully paid as execution becomes abundant and the environment keeps changing underneath them — how you go on being fully human inside systems that keep moving. Not a method to adopt. A body of work to move alongside, at whatever pace is honest for where you are.
A few ways to go further, none of them urgent:
